Small Laundry Room Organization Hacks
In the pictures below are some of my favorite organization ideas and organizing hacks for a small laundry room.
Let’s take a look at more small laundry room organizing ideas you can copy at YOUR house.
One good thing about having to organize your laundry area is the way it would lessen the time to do your laundry. Everything will be in place, which will give you ample time to focus on your dirty work rather than looking for the items that you will be using. Any type of system will work for whatever sizes your laundry room has. Here are a few tips on how to get you started.
First off, cabinets in your laundry room should be spacious enough to store your items in. Things like your detergent, conditioners, bleach, stain removers will actually take up space. Also, it would be best to arrange them in the way that each would be accessible and would be so according to whatever it is you will use most. Be careful that you don’t place it too high or too far from your machines. Its proximity will also determine the efficiency of your laundry time.
Another great addition to laundry room organization is having a bar or a line on the wall where you will be able to hang your clothes that just came out of the dryer. This would be also useful if some of your clothes are too delicate to spin dry. Most clothes would actually shrink out of the dryer so it would be the best option to just hang them dry. Hangers would then be appropriate for you to invest in.
Aside from a laundry line, it is also convenient to have a folding rack stored in your laundry room. These are great to save yourself all the trouble of destroying your clothes since they need to be air-dried rather than be placed in the dryer. These racks actually catch drips efficiently and save you space since they fit over tubs and hampers.
These are just some of the tools that you can have in your laundry room. Still the most efficient way of doing your laundry is to sort out all your clothes. Separating the colored ones from the white ones is the first step. You wouldn’t want to get that mixed at all. Then you would need to separate your heavy clothing like jeans, coats, and jackets from the rest. All you will be need here are separate hampers or baskets, which size is dependent on the size of your laundry room.
Regardless of any type of laundry room organization you would want to practice, these are all the things you would want to get started on. These are easy and practical steps that can be formed as a habit. Once you make this as a routine, you would definitely enjoy what you are doing. Have fun!
