Rearranging Kitchen Appliances
Yes, I’m rearranging my kitchen appliances AGAIN. Know why?
It all started with this Instant Pot my hubby bought for me.
Do YOU have an Instant Pot?
I didn’t think I really wanted one (in fact, I was kinda scared to use it) but then I read this article and TOTALLY wanted one:
Let me tell ya, my Instant Pot is AWESOME!
I do REALLY love it now that I know HOW to use it and I have these Instant Pot cooking times Cheat Sheets.
But, it’s a kinda large appliance and takes up a significant amount of room on the counter – especially in small kitchens with limited counter space.
So I was stuck with a few choices:

Do I keep my Instant Pot on my counter ALL the time and then rearrange EVERYTHING so it works without adding extra kitchen clutter?
(but ack! I just spent SO much time clearing clutter!!)
Or –
Should I just store my Instant Pot in my pantry?
But many times, my pantry looks like THIS:
No matter how hard I try to keep up with it, my pantry ALWAYS becomes a cluttered mess of stuff. There’s no way I could store my small appliances in there too!
But a girl can dream, right? And I dream of a beautifully decorated and seriously organized big walk in farmhouse style pantry that held ALL the things and kept them out of sight.
I REALLY wish my pantry looked like THIS:
And, truth be told, if I tuck my Instant Pot and my other handy appliances in my pantry, I probably won’t use them as much.
SO, that means – look at some more options for arranging my kitchen appliances and figuring out what to do.
Let’s look at the other options I found for arranging and storing appliances in a small kitchen.

Kitchen Cabinets That Hide Appliances
I am a BIG fan of kitchen cabinets that HIDE my appliances. My kitchen cabinets have slide out drawers so I *thought* that would work for me – but my Instant Pot is too tall {insert bad words here – I really wanted that to work!}
What I’d REALLY love to hide my small kitchen appliances is kitchen cabinets like THIS:

Appliance Garage Ideas
Now, it you want to totally HIDE your small appliances when they’re not in use, an appliance “garage” is an excellent solution!
You can buy one to install like this appliance garage…
Or can you have someone custom build a built in appliance garage cabinet (hello dream kitchen, right!?!?!)
Here are some clever ways to hide appliances in an appliance garage cabinet – or in your pantry:
How to Hide Appliances on Counter
Next option, figuring out how to HIDE my appliances on my counter. If I DO leave my Instant Pot out on my kitchen counter all the time, I think I’d like to “hide” it.
Turns out, Amazon has SO many CUTE Instant Pot covers here.
So, that’s a potential option for me.
Another option is to get the hubby to make an ‘appliance garage’ for my kitchen counters to help with arranging my appliances in my kitchen.
Something like this:
Small Appliance Storage Cart
My BFF has a cart like this set up for her coffee maker that I just love and want to “borrow” that idea for my small appliances:
I just love how her storage cart table shelving thing fits so perfectly in that small space AND is super functional!
One thing to point out, throwing trash away in that trash can on the bottom shelf is a real pain in the tail – you’re constantly pulling the trashcan in and out to use it.
I really want the top of my new storage solution to also provide more working kitchen counter space to, you know, make FOOD as WELL as store my small appliances where they’re out of the way but still easily accessible.
What I believe I’ve decided on is a small appliance storage cart like THIS:
I think that small appliance storage cart is PERFECT!
I always wonder where to put my kettle and toaster in my kitchen – this would work perfectly! and it helps me with the endless question of “how to store EXTRA kitchen stuff”!
And wouldn’t that cart work perfectly for my coffee bar on the top!??!
I just love it!
What I’d REALLY love are some kitchen appliance shelves like this with my coffee station on top:
but I’m afraid I don’t have enough room in my kitchen for that {insert sad face here}
