Most moms (like ME) would rather poke their own eye out than give up precious sleep and rest time to clean their home. As a sad result, things just end up WORSE when those annoying chores get tucked on the back burner where they go from quick and easy – to a BIG overwhelming task.
That once 30-minute job has now turned into a half-day nightmare.
How can you prevent that from happening?
Here are a few shortcuts to help you clean your home fast and KEEP it clean:
* When the clutter is overwhelming, start with the big stuff. We live in a time when everyone thrives on instant success. Picking up large size items like clothing means fast results. That spurs you on to tackle the smaller piles.
* Never leave a room without taking something with you. Put it where it belongs so you don’t waste your time looking for it later.
* Wash your dishes after every meal. Instruct each family member to rinse and put away their own dishes. This goes for cups or glasses used during the day too.
* Learn to multitask. If you head in the direction of the washing machine take a load of clothes with you. When you pull meat out of the freezer in the garage, get enough for 3 days. Leaving for the grocery store? Take the garbage out with you.
Multi-tasking sounds counter-intuitive, but when there’s a flow or system to it, you can get a LOT done in a short amount of time.
Best advice? Create your own speed cleaning ‘flow chart’, something like this:
By getting your chores into a repeatable process, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you get everything done.
* When speed cleaning, be sure any appliance that can clean FOR you is started FIRST (ie, the washing machine, the dishwasher, etc).
* Declutter – and then declutter again. The stats prove that a house with minimal clutter is MUCH easier to clean.
In today’s world of quick fixes, people buy the fastest computer and instant dinners to get instant results. Often lost in the shuffle is the time for exercise, which can help in speed cleaning your home. A regular exercise program gives you the strength and stamina to rocket you through not only your house cleaning chores but everything you do.
When speed cleaning is in your mind, do not allow distractions to keep you away from the task at hand. Let those calls go to voicemail and ignore your text messages for now. Distractions can turn a 15-minute job into an hour’s worth of time.
Speed cleaning usually entails cleaning your entire home all in one day. For many people this does not work due to busy schedules. Should this be your case, dust your home one day, tackle the bathrooms the next, etc. Whatever housecleaning job you do, complete the entire task. Dust the entire house or clean all the bathrooms. It takes time to pull out your cleaning equipment so keep going until you finish.

Tips For Speed Cleaning Your Home
Speed Cleaning Your Home is virtually a necessity for today’s busy households!
Who wants to spend all their free time cleaning?
Who wants to come home from work to face an untidy home, and one which is probably crying out for a really good clean?
Begin your Speed Cleaning routine now – it will be life changing for you and your family.
Just remember, first, you will need to thoroughly Declutter before you can start implementing your Speed Cleaning Routine.
I always feel the main culprit to cause stress and an untidy house is CLUTTER! You need to rope the whole family into this one and get them to be responsible for their own areas (even the kids can do chores!)
You all need to be really ruthless here!!! Set aside all items which haven’t been used or worn in the last 12 to 24 months or so because the chances are, if it’s been stuck in the wardrobe/cupboard for this length of time, you won’t wear or use them again.
☑ Have too much STUFF? Organizing Tips for Pack Rats
I’m sure your local Thrift Store, homeless shelter or Charity Shop will be pleased to receive your unwanted stuff.
After you declutter of your home, you and your family should now be feeling very pleased with yourselves, as well as enjoying the extra space around you!! I hope so!

Now you should organize your cleaning materials so that they are in a container where you will be able to access them quickly and one which is suitable for you to carry easily from room to room. You will need to check that it contains your cleaning cloths as well as the cleaning products you will be using.
Last but not least, you begin cleaning by concentrating on one room at a time and always clean from top to bottom so that dust is not falling on items already dusted. If you are cleaning a bedroom then it is advisable to make the bed first – in fact, you should ALWAYS make your bed first thing each day!
It is also advisable that you wear comfortable clothes whilst cleaning, but not really loose clothes as they tend to hamper not help. You need to be able to stretch and bend easily without your clothes getting in the way – or getting caught on handles and other objects!
Speed Cleaning Your Home will change the way you organize and think about your cleaning routine – it will become second nature to you – giving you so much more time to enjoy your home and family and I’m sure you won’t want to revert to your old lifestyle once you see how well it works for you!
